• Request for Services at NWCHCs - Package

The health care team at the NorWest Community Health Centres in Thunder Bay and Longlac includes family physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and a dietitian. The Thunder Bay team also includes a counsellor and a chiropodist. The Armstrong health care team consists of nurse practitioners.

Our family physicians and nurse practitioners provide medical care and regular check ups for clients.

During urgent care clinics at our Thunder Bay site, patients are seen by a nurse practitioner for issues such as cuts, coughs and colds, fever, earaches, infections, HIV testing, pregnancy tests, sexual health and birth control.

At the Thunder Bay site, a counsellor provides general counselling for individuals and couples. Many issues can be addressed including relationships and communication. Other topics include childhood abuse, depression, grief issues, self-esteem, shame and anger. This is a self-referral program. You may contact the Centre for an appointment.
