Armstrong's "Early Years Program"
The "Early Years Program" is a monthly school program for SK students at the Armstrong school during the school year. This program features a theme, circle time and activities.
Armstrong "Shake, Rattle and Roll"
The "Shake, Rattle and Roll" program is a monthly program for Armstrong families; featuring a community kitchen. It is held at the Ni-Gik-Keam Drop In Centre.
Longlac's "Daycare Exercise"
The "Daycare exercise" program is offered weekly at the local daycare in Longlac. Full of fun games and exercise, the main goal of the program is to introduce preschool & JK/SK children to concepts of 'Active Living'. In addition, once a month, an age-appropriate health talk is presented.
Thunder Bay's "Food to Grow On"
The "Food to Grow On" program is offered monthly in Thunder Bay; the program is a community kitchen for young mothers. A feature of the program is preparing homemade baby food. Childcare is provided.
Thunder Bay's "Healthy Moms Healthy Babies"
The "Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies" program is a weekly drop in for pregnant women and moms with children ages six months and younger. The program offers pregnancy and parenting activities; participants prepare snack and take home food baskets. Child Care is provided.
Longlac's "Playgroup"
The "Playgroup" program is held weekly in Longlac. Parents and children socialize and play together; the program includes 'free play', crafts, snacks, stories, songs, specials themes and guests.
Thunder Bay's "Shake, Rattle and Roll"
The "Shake, Rattle and Roll" program is a weekly drop in for women whose children are 6 months to 3 years of age; the program includes a component on women's health issues, child development, infant care and nutrition. Participants prepare a healthy meal once a month.
