Telemedicine Services At Our Sites
As part of an existing service at NorWest Community Health Centres, Telemedicine services are expanding at all our three sites, Thunder Bay, Longlac and Armstrong.
Telemedicine is free to residents in Ontario and provides timely access to specialists, it reduces travel time and expenses, and delivers care closer to home and on location at our three sites.
Our Telemedicine staff are qualified Registered Practical Nurses who will assist you before, during and following your Telemedicine appointment.
Our Telemedicine staff work with our clients and their virtual Multidisciplinary Teams to plan and support appropriate follow-up care, maintain clinical competence in caring for patients across a broad spectrum of care, supporting the ethical delivery of care, and ensuring compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
Next time you have an appointment with your specialist, ask them if they organize Telemedicine. Your Primary Health Care Provider at NorWest CHCs can assist you in setting up your appointments through Telemedicine and you will attend your appointment at The NorWest CHCs Telemedicine Studio.
